CUASGLOBAL.NET started October 1999 with two units of Pentium 3 500 MHz computers. Early November of the same year,
CUASGLOBAL.NET added additional 4 units of computers. Late November, they added 8 more units of computers. Before June of the following year, CUASGLOBAL.NET was able to come up with 60 units of computers, first ever Internet café in Tacloban City, Philippines, to have that number of operational computers.
CUASGLOBAL.NET started using a dedicated Dial-up connection line from a local ISP running on an AMD Athlon 1.0Gb and an SDRam of 512 server. CUASGLOBAL.NET's first eggdrop was "hanuelnun" running on a Pentium III 450 MHz computer using a Red Hat Linux version 7.3 Operating System. The first ever psyBNC of the said network used the nick "CStrikers" and still connected in the Undernet network using the same nick it uses ever since CUASGLOBAL.NET started. Early October of 2003 CUASGLOBAL.NET switched from dial-up connection to a SDSL connection thus improving the services and gained more clients. CUASGLOBAL.NET was able to come up with 7 running eggdrops and a psyBNC of more or less 50 IRC connections.
CUASGLOBAL.NET has its own DNS Server, Mail Server and Web Server at the Network Operation Center (NOC) of CUASGLOBAL.NET . All these servers run using Debian Linux version 3.0 (Woody) and have an AMD Athlon 2.4Gb processors and a DDR of 1024 Gig. The network has 2 backup servers using Pentium III 700 MHz processors and an SDRam of 512. Presently, CUASGLOBAL.NET upgraded from DSL connection to a leased line connection thus improving services to the clients. The network is hoping to have more clients and to provide the best service it could give. |
